Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches are a must in my family. This meal is so simple to make.  I usually will make large batch and freeze the leftovers in ziplock bags so that I can throw a meal together for the family on a day that I am too busy to cook.

Place the roast in the Crock Pot fat side down. Open one can of beef broth and pour over the roast. Cover, and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or High for 4 to 5 hours. I sometimes put mine in frozen on high overnight.

When tender, take out and let rest. Leave the broth in the crock pot. When it has cooled, remove all fat and completely shred the roast. Put the meat back into the crock pot. Pour a whole jar of salsa over the meat. Mix it together and leave on warm until ready to use.

In a fry pan sauté peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Add the shredded beef and mix well. Place Provolone cheese over the top and let it melt.

Slice open a bun and put on a spread of your choice. Right now my family is on a kick of using 1/3 part horseradish mustard mixed with 2/3 parts mayonnaise. Add the meat mixture.
