Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwich

French Dip Sandwiches are so easy to make and is the perfect meal for a busy day!  I love that you can prep before and let it cook all day in a slow cooker.  When it is time to eat, all you need to do is minor assembling.

When tender, take out and let rest. Leave the broth in the crock pot. When it has cooled, remove all fat and completely shred the roast. Put the meat back into the crock pot. Pour a whole jar of salsa over the meat. Mix it together and leave on warm until ready to use. Make the Au Jus according to the directions and pour into individual ramekin dishes. Plate it together and enjoy.

French Dip Sandwich

Ingredients

  1. 1 Sirloin Roast Beef 3 lbs

  2. 1 can beef broth

  3. 1 jar green salsa 16 oz

  4. 1 packet Au Jus mix

  5. 1 package hoagie buns

  6. 1 provolone cheese sliced

Instructions

Place the roast in the Crock Pot fat side down. Open one can of beef broth and pour over the roast. Cover, and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or High for 4 to 5 hours. I sometimes put mine in frozen on high overnight.

Slice open a bun and butter both sides. Add shredded beef and top with Provolone cheese. Place it under the broiler until cheese is melted.
