Pirate Birthday Party

Ahoy Matey!  I am always a BIG FAN of a pirate birthday party or anything that has to do with pirates.  Below are a few ideas on how you can make your party a success.

Party Ideas:

  1. Have eye patches and toy swords waiting for them when they arrive so they can dress up like pirates.

  2. Walk The Plank.  Set up a 2×4 in between two chairs and have the kids walk across it.  In the summer time you could also put a kid pool underneath.

  3.  What’s Your Pirate Name?  Download and print the sign and name tags.  Have the kids find out what their pirate name is and write it on a name tag for them to wear.  It is hilarious calling people by their “pirate name.”

  4.  Cannon Ball Fight.  Purchase black water balloons and have a water fight.

  5.  Treasure Hunt.  Create a map and have the kids go on a scavenger hunt to find their buried treasure.

  6.  “X” Marks The Spot.  Fill individual plastic containers with sand or use an outside sand pit.  Fill it with toy treasures and have the kids dig for it.

I recommend printing all items on a 8.5×11 heavy white cardstock paper.  After printing, you will need to cut and assemble some of the items.  Cupcake Toppers will need to be glued to a lollipop stick.  The font that I used is Lucida Bright.  Click on items below to download files. Good luck with your party!
