Garlic & Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes

This recipe is a family favorite for us.  Garlic & Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes make the perfect side dish.  You can serve them as is or dress them up by adding melted cheddar cheese on top or adding brown/turkey flavored gravy.

Garlic & Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes


  1. 6 russet potatoes 5 to 6 pounds

  2. 1 package cream cheese 8 oz

  3. 2 tsp garlic salt

  4. 1/8 cup milk


  1. Peel potatoes and chop into 1 inch slices.

  2. Place chopped potatoes into a large pot. Fill the pot with water until it just covers the potatoes. Bring water to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender. Turn off the stove and drain all of the water in the pot.

  3. Add cream cheese, garlic salt and milk. Using a potato masher or an electric beaters, slowly blend all of the ingredients together until smooth.
