Football Scotcheroos

It’s Super Bowl time and I am excited to share with you this family recipe.  This treat is a must for your Super Bowl Party.  Scotcheroos are a peanut butter and chocolate Rice Krispies treat.  I do have to warn you that once you start eating these you won’t be able to stop.

Step 1:  Make the scotcheroos

Heat sugar and light Caro until it just begins to boil.  Watch closely so you don’t over heat it.  Turn heat off and add 1 cup peanut butter and 6 cups of Rice Krispies.  Spread mixture onto a 9×14 greased pan.


Tip: Place wax paper or parchment paper over the top of the pan and use your hands to flatten the Scotcheroos while they are still warm.


Combine milk chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a microwaveable bowl.  Microwave chips for 30 seconds at a time until melted.  Stir the chips every 30 seconds.  Pour the frosting over the Scotcheroos.  Cool completely.

Step 2: Using a football shaped cookie cutter cut out each football scotcheroo.  I purchased my cookie cutter at my local cooking store.  You can also find them online at Amazon.

Step 3: Using white Icing draw the lace on onto the football shaped scotheroos and you are done!

1 cup Sugar

1 cup Light Caro

1 cup Peanut Butter

6 cups Rice Krispies

Frosting

1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips

1 cup Butterscotch Chips

1 tube White Icing

Instructions
