Easy Key Lime Pie

Easy Key Lime Pie is a simple recipe that takes less than 30 minutes to make and it is absolutely delicious.  My husband is the mastermind behind this recipe.  He completely surprised me one day with this pie and I’m hoping that he continues to have other tricks up his sleeves.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


Bake pie for 8-10 minutes.  Let cool to room temperature on counter and them place in the fridge for at least 3 hours.

When it is time to serve the pie, combine whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla. With hand mixer, mix until peaks begin to form.  Top pie with whipped cream and serve.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cans sweetened condensed milk 14 oz cans

  2. 1/3 cup sour cream

  3. 2 limes for lime zest

  4. 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  5. 1 tbsp sugar

  6. 1 tsp vanilla

  7. 1 gram cracker pie crust 9-inch

  8. 3/4 cup key lime juice

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a bowl mix condensed milk, key lime juice, sour cream, and lime zest. Mix until well combined and smooth. Add pie mixture to crust and evenly distribute.

Bake pie for 8-10 minutes (the pie will not move as much when shaken as compared to pre-bake).

Let cool to room temperature on counter and them place in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
